چکیده

Background/Aim. Although distal venous patch and cuff techniques are recommended to improve the patency of by-pass in lower extremities, advantage these remains unproven. Autovenous bypass graft method choice, but when there is no possibility using great saphenous vein, may have an advantage. The aim this study was evaluate results femorodistal procedures with a critical extremity ischemia. Methods. described after follow-up period 6 24 months. We followed 28 patients composite anastomosis arterial reconstruction. Indications for surgical treatment were set on basis clinical exam morphological criteria based multidetector computed tomographic angiography. Three types graft-arterial anastomoses applied: Miller?s cuff, Taylor?s patch, St. Mary?s vein boot anastomosis. Results. After months surgery, all bypasses passable; one year, 2 (7%) had occlusion above-knee amputation, 8 (28%) died; months, 18 (64%) primary patency. Conclusion. Femorodistal synthetic good long-term results. optimal type boot. A longer comparison autovenous necessary more detailed assessment final conclusion.

The Below-knee Amputation "

rhroughout the United States and Canada an estimated 80 percent of all major elective civilian amputations result from ischemia. All but a relatively few involve the lower extremity. Significant improvements in below-knee prostheses and important advances in surgical and postsurgical management now allow amputation below the knee in a majority of patients. In a consecutive series of 96 unselect...

Amputations below the knee.

2 Director, Prosthetics Research Study, Seattle, Wash. AHE elective amputation must be considered plastic and reconstructive in nature. The need to create a dynamic and sensory motor end-organ should be foremost in the surgeon's mind in planning an amputation, and is emphasized here once more. The below-knee stump no longer hangs suspended in an open-end socket. The variable degrees of pressure...

Skew-flap below-knee amputation.

The success of the long posterior flap in obtaining sound healing at below-knee level is widely recognised in patients with ischaemic disease, and since this method was introduced in 1967 by Burgess and Romano, the number of patients with healing below-knee amputations in ischaemic disease has dramatically increased, and with improved methods of level selection this proportion may increase furt...
